New England Patriots guard Tre' Jackson underwent a knee scope over the past month, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

While the scope isn't expected to hurt the availability of Jackson in the long-term, it is something that will have to be evaluated in the short -term.

The 23-year-old was drafted by New England in the fourth round of the draft, prior to last season.

Knee injuries hobbled the Florida State product in his rookie season, as he played in just 13 games including nine starts. Though he started the team's final five regular season games, he was inactive for both of the team's post season games.

With the Patriots' line struggling so much this past season, a health Jackson could help strengthen the unit and add more stability up front.
