One day after a somewhat surprising blockbuster deal that saw defensive end Chandler Jones get shipped out to Arizona, Trader Bill and the New England Patriots are back at it, making moves once more.

The 6-foot-6 tight end provides another big target for quarterback Tom Brady and will look to fill the void, opposite superstar Rob Gronkowski, New England has struggled to successfully cover up since Aaron Hernandez' arrest.

The team brought Scott Chandler, who had been successful with Buffalo prior to joining the Pats, in last season. After a disappointing year, in which he never emerged as a reliable option in the offensive scheme, Chandler was released a couple weeks back.

Bennett has had success over his career, which has been split between three clubs most recently the Bears.

In 119 games for Dallas, the New York Giants and Chicago, the 29-year-old has caught 348 passes for 3,586 yards and 10.3 yards per catch. The Texas A&M product has also scored 23 times over his career.

Last season was a down year for Bennett, however, as he played in 11 games marking the lowest amount of games played in his career. He still manged to catch 53 passes for 439 yards and 3 touchdowns, though.

To round out the deal, New England will also receive a sixth round pick, while the Bears will get a fourth rounder in return.
