Parking bans in New Bedford, Dartmouth and Wareham go into effect at 12pm Friday.

With New Bedford's ban, there is no parking on either side of the street in business districts.

In residential areas, parking is allowed on the side of the street opposite fire hydrants.

Mayor Jon Mitchell says residents need to be prepared, as this storm can pack quite a punch.
