Breakfast is still an important meal, even during summer vacation. But 52-percent of the parents taking part in an American Academy of Pediatrics poll admit it's tougher for them to get their kids to eat breakfast regularly once school is out. Nearly half of the parents also agree that milk is an important part of their child's breakfast, and most kids are willing to have a glass of milk in the morning. Over 90-percent of the eight-to-12-year-olds taking part in the survey say they like drinking milk with their first meal of the day. Nearly two-thirds of the children recognize that milk is good for them, and 58-percent believe milk plays a role in their growth.

But 56-percent drink milk simply because they love the way it tastes.
