Meat Loaf is going to have a lot more time on his hands these days--he announced this week that he is retiring from touring--and apparently he's looking to spend some of that time ghost hunting.

Meat Loaf, whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday, is a friend of Ghost Hunters star Jason Hawes and investigated with the TAPS team in the fifth season of their hit television show. He's long had an interest in the paranormal, and a recent story posted in The Himalayan Times said that Meat Loaf wants to investigate alongside his friend, former Take That! singer and 90s pop star Robbie Williams. Mr. Loaf invited Williams to check out the A&M Records recording studio in Los Angeles, where the spirit of Charlie Chaplin is said to dwell.

Meat Loaf is just one of many celebrities whose interest in the paranormal has come to light in recent years. Aside from the washed-up stars of TV shows like Celebrity Paranormal Project and Celebrity Ghost Stories, some big-time stars have revealed they like to wander in the dark and look for spirits, such as Lady Gaga. Gaga apparently suffers from strange dreams and once spent $47,000 just to hunt for ghosts.

And Robbie Williams is no stranger to the world of the paranormal, either. He reportedly spent almost $700,000 to buy a house just to continue his quest for more UFO sightings.
