Pacheco Appointed Dartmouth High School Resource Officer

Dartmouth High School has a new School Resource Officer.

Dartmouth Police Chief Robert Szala announced Monday that Officer Richard Pacheco has been appointed to that position.

Pacheco has served as the department's Field Training Officer as well as being a veteran of the Air National Guard.

In addition to the training he received Pacheco is also certified in ALICE training, which is designed to help students know what to do when faced with a gunman.

No start date has been announced.
