Proposals for the vacant Oxford and Rogers schools in Fairhaven are raising more questions than answers.

The historic buildings were put up for auction, but received only one bid each from different parties. One bidder wants to convert the Oxford school into affordable housing, while the Rogers school received a bid of $1 to become an educational center.

Board of Selectmen chairman Robert Espindola told WBSM News the town was hoping for more activity.

Last night, the board chose to send the proposals to a committee to review the two offers, and get more information regarding future plans.
