A few days ago, one of our station employees came into the main studio with an urgent message. An older gentleman dropped by our lobby saying his best friend ever, a pug named Oscar, had run off during the parade of the Madeira Feast. He pleaded that we put the word out on the airwaves in the hopes that someone perhaps spotted the pooch. He was so upset that the older dog would get hit by a car.

So, we went into 'lost dog' mode. I made the announcement with nothing positive the first day. Day two in the late afternoon, a call comes in from a nice lady who said she heard the SOS and has Oscar, safe, bathed and fed. Oddly enough, the woman who found Oscar also has a pug of her own. As this post is being published, I'm making arrangements to have the reunion take place. Stay tuned for details. As they used to say at the television networks, film at 11.
