David Ortiz has had a nice start to his farewell season, to say the least.

After slugging his 504th career homer yesterday, in the team's opening game of the season, and tying Hall of Famer Eddie Murray for 26th on the all-time home run list, Papi was back at it again today.

The mammoth blast has now officially placed the 40-year-old into sole possession of the 26th spot on the list.

The next man Papi will look to chase down on the home run list is former All-Star outfielder Garry Sheffield, who sits in the 25th spot with 509 career homers.
