OPINION| Brian Thomas: Look Out for Trouble

A slew of building and car fires has New Bedford unnerved. It's a proverbial whodunit. Investigators are scouring leads. Some neighbors believe the alleged arsonist is from the neighborhood. City Councilor Coehlo hints it may be kids. Nobody knows.

Here's a brilliant idea. Be responsible. Keep your eyes and ears open. Have an escape plan. Don't be afraid to call the cops if you see or hear something suspicious. The police can't be everywhere all the time. They have been known and are prepared to respond to crime calls.
