President Donald Trump has withdrawn the invitation issued to the Philadelphia Eagles football team to be honored at the White House today for their Super Bowl win. Good.

Spoiled, self-centered "stars" have been holding the Administration and their fans hostage for long enough, while refusing to commit to the ceremony.

Many players are angry that Trump has made a big deal out of their refusal to stand to honor our flag while the national anthem is played. Oh, boo hoo! Trump has had enough, and will instead host a "Celebration of America at the White House."

Philly's left-wing Democrat Mayor Jim Kenney blasted the move, accusing Trump of "not being a true patriot." Is this guy for real?

“Disinviting them from the White House only proves that our president is not a true patriot, but a fragile egomaniac obsessed with crowd size and afraid of the embarrassment of throwing a party to which no one wants to attend," Mayor Kenney said.

The NFL recently announced a new policy that requires players to stand for the anthem if they are on the field, but allows them to remain in the locker room instead. Violations could result in fines. Many players, including some members of the Eagles, continue to sulk over the new rules. Some players are even discussing a boycott of the upcoming season. Bring it on, chumps.

When pampered athletes behave like children, it is the fans who suffer. Shame on the Eagles organization.

Three cheers to Trump for standing up for American values and against the brooding athletes who think they are more important than our flag and our national anthem.
