I have seen the future and it is horrendous!

We knew it was coming, but Dunkin' Donuts has rolled out its new environmentally friendly hot coffee cups in several markets, and they are enough to make you Dunkaroos want to cry. No more Styrofoam, which means no more double-cupping for your iced coffee.

The new double-walled paper cup for hot drinks has already been introduced in several states including portions of Massachusetts and New York and will be in use everywhere by 2020.

My wife and I were introduced to the new cup in western Massachusetts over the weekend. We were mortified. The cup is more slender than the Styrofoam cup, which means it wobbles in the car's cup holder. The new cover (not shown in the photo) is made of some type of recycled plastic and does not include a spill guard. Bumpy roads mean wobbly cups and spilled coffee!

Another drawback is that the cup, while cool to the touch, does not keep your coffee hot nearly as long as the Styrofoam cup.

Ah covfefe! Change is never easy, but this is gonna take some getting used to. Will this change in any way impact your coffee buying habits?
