Textgate may put Watergate to shame as the story.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is promising to leave "no stone unturned" in determining how five months of messages between Peter Strzok -- a  counterintelligence official involved in both the Hillary Clinton email investigation and FBI Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe -- and FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom he was romantically involved vanished into thin air.

Congressional investigators say recovered messages indicate the pair spoke of a "secret society" within the Department of Justice and the FBI with the possible intent to work against Donald Trump, just one day after Trump was elected.

An earlier message appears to show Strzok was concerned that Trump might actually defeat Clinton;

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office—that there’s no way he gets elected—but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40…”

"Andy" is believed to be a reference to FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

The Justice Department says the FBI failed to preserve five months of text messages between Strzok and Page during a critical period in the Clinton email probe and events leading up to the Russia collusion investigation.

Sessions issued a statement that was provided to Fox News;

“We will leave no stone unturned to confirm with certainty why these text messages are not now available to be produced and will use every technology available to determine whether the missing messages are recoverable from another source.”

“If we are successful, we will update the congressional committees immediately.”

It would seem that those at the highest levels of our government may have been involved in a plot to fix the election in 2016 while protecting Clinton from possible prosecution.

Republicans in Congress are right to demand a special prosecutor be appointed to untangle this web of deception and political corruption.  What role did former A.G. Loretta Lynch and FBI Director Jim Comey play in all of this?

The public on the left and right should be outraged by this.
