Onset Man Arrested After Wareham Bank Robbery

An Onset man is under arrest after a bank robbery in Wareham.

Wareham Police say the TD Bank North on Main Street was robbed by an unarmed man early Thursday afternoon. A witness told police the man demanded cash from the tellers, and then left after receiving an undetermined amount.

About fifteen minutes later, police located a man matching the given description walking further up Main Street. The man was taken into custody and identified as the robber by witnesses.

The man, 31-year-old Casey Joseph Peluso of Onset, was arrested and charged with unarmed robbery. He was arraigned Thursday afternoon in Wareham District Court.
