One Teen Shot, One Teen Arrested In Taunton

Coyle Cassidy High School was put on lockdown Tuesday after a shooting took place nearby.

Taunton Police tell ABC6 a 17-year-old male was walking at Hopewell Park with his girlfriend around 1 p.m. when they were approached by a 16-year-old male.

The two males exchanged words before the 16-year-old male shot the 17-year-old male at least three times.

Police arrested the 16-year-old suspect at his home which was not far from the scene.

The victim's girlfriend wasn't harmed.

There is no word at this time on what charges he will be facing.
