One person was hospitalized following an early morning fire in Raynham.

Lt. Barrett Johnson says that at 1:43 a.m. Thursday they received a 9-1-1 call regarding a possible house fire at 951 Locust St.

Upon arrival crews found two victims who were able to escape the home with assistance from Raynham Police officers.

One person was transferred to Morton Hospital with burns, the other victim refused medical treatment.

Johnson says the fire was concentrated to the living room and that area sustained fire damage, there was also smoke damage throughout the home.

Firefighters were able to put down the fire but Johnson says the home is uninhabitable.

The incident remains under investigation.
