One Man Injured After Vehicle Strikes Tree In Wareham

A Wareham man sustained serious injuries following a motor vehicle crash Tuesday night.

Police Chief Kevin Walsh says that at approximately 10:25 p.m. personnel from the Wareham Police Department, Wareham EMS and Wareham Fire Department responded to the area of Hathaway St. and Dinah's Way after it was reported that a motor vehicle collided with a tree.

Walsh says a preliminary investigation reveals that only one vehicle was involved in the crash.

The sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as 25-year-old Kevin Peoples, was transported to a Boston area hospital for treatment.

Walsh says that as of Wednesday morning Peoples remains in serious condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
