One Killed In Norton Crash

One man has been killed following a weekend crash in Norton.

Massachusetts State Police say that troopers responded to the crash shortly after 6 p.m. on I-495 South in Norton.

Troopers arrived on scene to discover that a 2015 Toyota Tacoma and a 2010 Toyota Yaris were involved in a head-on crash.

A preliminary investigation determined that the Toyota Tacoma was traveling on I-195 North when, for reasons under investigation, crossed the median and struck the Toyota Yaris head-on.

The driver of Yaris died from injuries sustained in the crash, their passenger was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Tacoma, identified as a 41-year-old Mashpee man, was also taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
