MATTAPOISETT - In a letter sent out to parents Monday afternoon, Old Rochester Regional High School Principal Mike Devoll & Superintendent of Schools Doug White announced the district has been investigating threats made to the student body, but did not specify what the threats are.

The letter notes the initial investigation involved the school and local police departments. The letter also states that, since the initial report, a number of unfounded rumors have spread.
The school makes mention that they have been fielding calls from concerned parents over the past week, based on rumors heard from their children.
The school has been meeting individually with many students to "debrief and address concerns", but is offering to parents to speak directly with students, and also states that they will speak to anyone who has concerns or reports that warrant investigating.
WBSM News has sought clarification from the superintendent's office about the specifics of this matter, but has yet to receive a response.
O.R.R.H.S. is planning on having a full week of classes before the winter vacation.
