Officials Investigating Officer Involved Shooting

Police exchange gunfire with a shooting suspect leaving that man dead.

ABC6 is reporting that a man, identified as 81-year-old John Cloud of Kingston, was shot and killed at Pocasset Hill Cemetery in Fall River on Monday evening.

The suspect in that shooting, identified as 80-year-old Edward Aquisto of Tiverton, R.I, then fled the scene in a black vehicle, before ending up on Ford Farm Rd. in Tiverton.

The unidentified suspect then allegedly fired on Tiverton and Fall River Police.

Officers returned fire and the suspect was killed.

In accordance with protocol involving all officer involved shootings, the incident is being investigated by the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office and Rhode Island State Police.
