Sadly, Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) has gone from being a courageous fighter for civil rights in 1965, to being a member of the government looking to take away civil rights in 2016.

Due Process is no small matter. Our founders were very wise to provide it for all; "Fair treatment through the normal judicial system, especially as a citizen's entitlement." Without it, we would face many forms of tyranny.

The Democrats are convincing their supporters that the "No Fly - Can't Buy" rally cry is a moral imperative to which there is no other side of the issue. They want anyone on the list of people suggested of terrorist involvement which prevents them from flying on airplanes, to also deny these same people on the list, the right to bear arms. The Republicans might agree if the Democrats would simply work with them to find a way to stop the mistakes the government is making with individuals who do not belong on the list. The liberal accusation that the GOP is "trying to help terrorists get assault weapons" is not only untrue, hysterical and an irresponsible utterance but this is really just a big fund raising push as we now know they bolted straight for the cash in their districts after the immature, stunt on the House floor on June 22nd.

There are many Americans, and foreigners, who are on the "No Fly" list in error. So if the Democrats got their way, people would be denied their civil rights until the courts eventually get around to the correction. I can rail off a thousand horror stories of how long that actually can take but let me leave you with one example:

Rahinah Ibrahim, a Malaysian architecture professor and PhD student here in the states,   became the first and only person to be removed from the no-fly list by the courts, a judge admitted that she should have never been on the list and it was discovered that an FBI agent simply checked the wrong box. That's all it took!

Her attorney Elizabeth Pipkin said it took “eight years and $4 million of pro bono attorney work to accomplish that feat."

On top of her loss of the ability to fly, she would also be denied the right to the second amendment if John Lewis and Senator Elizabeth Warren had their way.

Still not sold? Even the far left ACLU has repeatedly stated, using the No-Fly or Terror Watch lists to restrict constitutional freedoms is "inappropriate, unconstitutional and wrong".
