President Obama calls his meeting with Pope Francis extremely moving.

In Rome, the President said he and the Pope share common goals of improving the quality of life for millions of people around the world.

Obama and the Pontiff met for nearly an hour at the Vatican.  The President invited the Pope to visit the White House and Francis responded, "For sure!"

Obama gave Francis a gift of seeds of fruit and vegetables from the White House garden.  The Pope gave the President two commemorative medals and a leather-bound copy of a document that Francis wrote in 2013 that serves as a guide to his papacy. (Metro Networks Inc.)
