A homeland security official says the threat of terrorism in New York City is greater now than at any other time since the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

At a briefing in New York today, the New York Homeland Security Division's Jerry Hauer said the more aggressive things get in the Mideast, the more likely New York will see attacks against Muslim or Jewish organizations.

Hauer feels the terror group ISIS is focusing on the Middle East but wouldn't rule out lone wolf attacks.

New York City's Police Commissioner Bill Bratton says as of now, there is no specific threat.
