The National Rifle Association broke it's silence earlier this week and said they would hold a press conference on Friday.

During that press conference the Executive Vice President of the NRA, Wayne LaPierre, addressed the horrible tragedy that took place in Newtown, CT last Friday.

During the NRA presser, LaPierre blammed the media for solely placing the blame of the shooting on the gun itself. He added that gun prosecution is at 40%, the lowest number in a decade. LaPierre said that the only thing that gun free zones will offer is an invitation to the insane.

LaPierre says that there should be armed guards placed at schools. He said that we have armed guards protecting our president, why not children? He added that we must act now 'for the sake of every child in America'.
