North End Break-Ins

This past week six businesses were broken into in New Bedford's North End.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says all the break-ins have occurred around midnight, in each case a door was pried open and cash was taken from the registers.

Vicente says it was not a large amount of money that was stolen, however he is advising area businesses to make sure their cash is secured before they close up for the day.

Vicente says the break-ins have all occurred near Acushnet Avenue between Coggeshall Street and Coffin Avenue.

Anyone with information is being asked to call New Bedford Police.
