North End Break-In Suspect Gets Away, Leaves Blood Trail

New Bedford Police are searching for a man they say pilfered jewelry and cash from an Acushnet Avenue business.

Police say early Thursday morning, a man in a hooded sweatshirt broke into the International Guatemala Musica store through a window. The man apparently cut himself on the glass, as there was a small amount of blood recovered at the scene.

Detectives are looking to identify the suspect, and are asking the public for help. If you recognize the man pictured to the right, call Detective Raul Espinal at 508-991-6300 ext. 139.
