NEW BEDFORD — A North Carolina man was arrested Wednesday by New Bedford Police after he was found in possession of drugs.

Members of the New Bedford Police Department narcotics unit were investigating street level narcotics sales in the Coffin Avenue area shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Police observed suspicious activity in a vehicle parked in the 200-block of Coffin Avenue. Further investigation revealed that an occupant of the vehicle was in possession of a small amount of cocaine.

Toby Fulford, 41, of 842 Pigott Road, Gloucester, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine.
