When I was running for public office, going house to house, a lot of democrats slammed the door in my face because I was was a republican! I witnessed this form of hatred personally. It reminds me of what happened on May 2nd when a North Carolina tow truck driver refused to tow a stranded woman who'd been in a highway accident after he saw she had a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker! The tow truck driver claims every "socialist minded" person he's had to deal with recently "berned" him with an 'e' not a 'u', by not getting paid for his services.

So, he told Bernie Sanders supporter to "call the government" for a tow since she was a socialist. The woman told the media she was "completely flabbergasted" when he said what he did and then just drove off!

Local attorneys said the tow truck driver didn't break the law, since political affiliation isn't a protected class like race, sexuality or religion. So I have to ask you, do you think political affiliation should be a protected class under anti-discrimination laws like race, sexuality, and religion are? Do you think how partisan our political system has become makes it harder just to be kind to one another? It's really sad when we have to resort to making another 'law' to simply behave humanely!
