There were no School Committee members present during a meeting of the City Council's Finance Committee Thursday night.

The Finance Committee invited the School Committee to discuss an appropriation of  $12.5 for the William H. Taylor Elementary School and problems with the alarm system at the Keith Middle School.

School Committee Vice-Chair Joaquim "Jack" Livramento says they are happy to provide the council with any information they need but that councilors should come before the School Committee as they have in the past.

However, City Councilor Linda Morad says funding issues, such as the allocation of funds for the Taylor school is a city council matter.

The committee voted to send the motion on bonding for the Taylor School to the full City Council
