The National Labor Relations Board has agreed to drop charges filed against Allegheny Technologies Inc.

Donald Rei, the Vice-President of United Steelworkers Local 1357, announced the development to WBSM News Thursday morning.

The NLRB's decision will allow an agreement the union made with the company, that had recently been ratified by union members, to go forward.

If the NLRB had decided to proceed then Rei says the deal would be off.

Rei says the union will be meeting with local management for a back to work plan.

Rei previously said he expected union members to be back to work at the plant, located at 1357 E. Rodney French Blvd in New Bedford, by March 14.
