Nine people were arrested following a drug raid Tuesday night in New Bedford.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that at approximately 9:45 p.m. members of the Organized Crime intelligence Bureau executed a search warrant at 10 Acushnet Ave. apartment 3.

The warrant was executed following an investigation into drug dealing that was taking place out of the home.

During the search officers uncovered 16 grams of heroin, 17 grams of crack cocaine, and a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver loaded with five rounds of ammunition.

Four suspects are facing possession with intent to distribute and firearms charges.

They have been identified as New Bedford residents 21-year-old Anilton Costa, 21-year-old Hubert Santos, and 36-year-old Rachel Coe and 28-year-old Luis Reyes of Roxbury.

The remaining five suspects, all New Bedford residents, are facing various drug and conspiracy charges.

They were identified as 18-year-old Davidson Martins, 38-year-old Nelson DeJesus-Hernandes, 33-year-old Louise Sheena Andrade, 45-year-old Eduardo Collazo, and 40-year-old Steven Morales.

The suspects were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning in New Bedford District Court.
