Players from around the NFL are reacting to the "Deflategate" suspension of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Many took to Twitter to voice their response to Brady being suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season without pay.

Teammate and running back LeGarrett Blount tweeted, "This is absolutely ridiculous!" while Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson posted, "Well done @NFL." Cardinals linebacker Sean Weatherspoon tweeted, "I think the suspension is warranted, they came down hard on the organization though." Former NFL tight end and television analyst Shannon Sharpe said the penalty is exactly what he thought, while 49ers defensive end Darnell Dockett tweeted, "You have to love the Patriots. They do anything to win a Super Bowl."

Brady was suspended four games for what the NFL calls a violation of the integrity of the game. Results of a lengthy investigation last week determined that at least some Patriots personnel probably intentionally deflated air pressure from footballs used in the AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts and that Brady was at least generally aware of the activity. Brady and the Patriots have denied any wrongdoing.

The Pats were also fined one-million-dollars and docked two future draft picks, a first-rounder in 2016 and a fourth-round selection in 2017. Barring a successful appeal, it will likely be Jimmy Garoppolo under center when the Patriots open defense of their Super Bowl championship on Thursday, September 10th at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
