Back off.  That's the request from officials in Newtown, Connecticut as the one-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting approaches.

School and city leaders hosted a meeting today and asked the press to keep their distance to allow the community to remember the victims of the horrific shooting massacre.

Also, family members of the kids who died in last year's shooting massacre will be lighting candles Friday in honor of their loved ones.
