Yankees' manager Joe Girardi was tossed out of Sunday night's game against the Boston Red Sox for arguing with the umpire about Ryan Dempter's lack of an ejection. The MLB has now handed Dempster a suspension, so is Girardi happy now?

The answer is no. USA Today reports that while the Yankees were pretty certain that Dempster would be handed a suspension, they thought he should at least miss a start.

Yankee pitcher CC Sabathia stated:

I thought he at least should miss a start and he's not going to do that. I don't think it does anything.

Manager Joe Girardi doesn't want other pitchers thinking that they can target A-Rod with no consequences. Giradi himself was fined for his actions on Sunday night, but the amount was not made public.
