A Brooklyn man is under arrest in New Bedford, after fleeing from authorities in New York. 

New Bedford Police Detectives teamed with the NYPD's Violent Felony Squad early Tuesday to arrest 44-year old Jose Cintron. 

Det. Capt. Steve Vicente tells WBSM News, Cintron was wanted for a non-fatal shooting in Harlem over the weekend. 

He was apprehended in an apartment at the Bay Village Housing Development, hiding under a bed. 

Police also recovered 120 grams of heroin and ammunition.  He's being arraigned in New Bedford District Court.
