In a move that only the New York Jets could make, they have fired their general manager, because that's the real issue.

In what can only be summed up as a disaster of a season for the New York Jets, the organization has decided to part ways with GM Mike Tannenbaum. Jets' owner Woody Johnson made the announcement on Monday morning.

Johnson also said that head coach Rex Ryan would remain in his current position. So what does this prove about the Jets? They are in denial.

Rex Ryan had a great first year as head coach of them team, and Mark Sanchez looked good too. So was Mike Tannenbaum the problem? Probably not, but he is a good scapegoat for an organization that is totally disorganized. Ryan might be safe for now, but if he has another 6-10 season, he'll probably be packing his bags as well.

So where does that leave Mark Sanchez? Tim Tebow is reportedly frustrated and looking for a new home. The Jets have denied reports of shopping around Sanchez, but in reality it looks like the glove just doesn't fit.
