New Urgent Care Center Opens In New Bedford

The AFC/Doctors Express Urgent Care facility in the Market Basket Plaza is officially open.

Richard Crews, President of Doctors Express tells WBSM News the urgent care center offers a quick alternative to area emergency rooms, "Whether you're really sick or you're hurt, do you really want to go spend five hours in the E.R.? This is our 13th location here in Massachusetts. Last year, we saw 145,000 people in the state with a door-to-door time of 49 minutes."

The center has partnered with Saint Anne's Hospital, and offers a full lab, occupational health services, and diagnostic imaging services.
