New South End Voting Location In New Bedford

Seniors and other concerned residents in New Bedford's South end can breathe a sigh of relief now that the Hazelwood Community Center is being re instated as the polling location in Precints 6A and 6B.

In the most recent election, the polling location had been changed to the Roosevelt Middle school, which many seniors said was a hazardous trek with poor lighting and long walks. Ward 6 City Councilor Joe Lopes says the Hazelwood Community Center always has and always will make the most sense.
