According to a report in Fall River’s Herald News, the homicide rate in the city of Fall River has seen a significant decrease since 2008.
In 2009 there were four murders in the City of Fall River. Since that relatively high number things have improved, and Fall River’s Mayor Flanagan gives all the credit to the hard work of the police department. In 2012, the city only had one reported murder.
