There are mixed signals in a new report examining who gets flu shots every year.

The CDC says that last year more children got flu shots than ever before but more expectant moms need to be vaccinated.

William Schaffner with the Centers for Disease Control says many hospitals are requiring their staff to get the vaccine as a way of stopping the spread of the illness.

He says smaller needles and even inhaled vaccines should convince people who don't like injections to get protected before the height of flu season. (Metro Networks Inc.)
