Film and stage; the two worlds come together in Nemasket River Productions' summer production of Ron Hutchinson's "Moonlight and Magnolias".

Based on a true story, the play chronicles filmmaker David O. Selznick (Ed Krasnow), Victor Fleming (James Koonce), and script doctor Ben Hecht (Steve Doherty) as they attempt to adapt  "Gone with the Wind" for the silver screen.

According to an article from SouthCoastToday.com, the play will run at the Alley Theatre, at 133 Center Street in Middleboro, from July 29th to July 31st, then from August 5th-6th, and August 12th-13th. All shows will start at 8:00 p.m., with the exception of the 2:00 p.m. matinee performance on July 31st.

Tickets are $20 for general admission.  $18 for seniors and students, and $15 for the July 31st matinee performance.

All performances can be combined with “Dinner and a Show”, a dinner theatre experience in collaboration with Lorenzo’s (Rt 28, Middleboro, 508-947-3000). For $20, audience members will be served a three-course meal, which includes a glass of wine. To reserve a meal, bring your receipt to the NRP box office before the show.
