With affordability of health care still an issue for many, residents in the Wareham area can look forward to a low cost option.

The Greater New Bedford Community Health Center celebrated the grand opening of the new facility on Monday. The center will offer primary care , dental, and mental helath services.

President and CEO, Peter Georgeopoulos says community health centers are important for those who are unable to afford medical care.

"Anybody coming to this health center will definitley be seen, regardless of their ability to pay. I mean, I'v had people that needed medications and didn't have the ability to pay, and the nurses said 'Well, how are they going to pay for it', and [I say] we'll pay for it. And we have," said Georgeopoulos.

According to Congressman William Keating, the new center recieved about $704,000 in federal funding.
