New Brooklawn Park Playground Dedicated

A new play area has opened for Brooklawn Park’s youngest visitors. City officials dedicated the new Brooklawn Playground and Splash-Pad over the weekend.

Jungle gyms, interactive games and swings highlight the new area, which was built using Community Development Block grants. Pat Sullivan from the city’s Office of Housing and Community Development tells WBSM News, the playground has a little bit of something for everyone.

The city received about 400-thousand dollars in federal Block Grant funding, which has also gone towards improving the skate park, tennis courts and landscaping at Brooklawn.
