NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford woman is arrested following an investigation into an activation of the city's gunshot detection system Monday morning.

New Bedford Police responded to a Shotspotter activation at about 3:05 a.m. Monday, June 25 in the 100-block of Dartmouth Street. As part of their investigation, police approached Pub 126 located 126 Dartmouth Street to ask questions.

A woman in the establishment gave misleading statements to police, and attempted to interfere with their questioning of others in the establishment. When police attempted to question her, she began yelling and swearing, and attempted to kick two officers during the arrest and booking process.

Police arrested Jezebel Soto, 31, of 84 Libra Drive in New Bedford on charges of intimidating a witness and assault.
