New Bedford Teen Found with Loaded Revolver

NEW BEDFORD - A 16-year-old New Bedford boy has been arrested after police found him in possession of a gun.

Police say the juvenile was pulled over near Cedar and Smith Streets in the West End Wednesday afternoon.

During the investigation, police found a loaded .22 caliber H&R revolver in the young man's possession.

The suspect faces numerous firearms charges, along with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and defective equipment.

He was arraigned Thursday in New Bedford Juvenile Court and will be held until a dangerousness hearing on February 7.
