New Bedford Subway Robbed by Young Males with Possible Rifle
New Bedford Police have arrested one person and are on the lookout for another in connection with an armed robbery at a North End Subway sandwich shop last night.
Police say two males robbed the Subway on Nauset St after 8pm Wednesday night, one of them armed with a possible rifle.
The masked robbers ran off with an undetermined amount of cash.
Within minutes, one of the suspects, a 14-year-old New Bedford teen was arrested, and the money was recovered.
Police are still searching for the other suspect and the rifle.
The at-large male is described as young and light-skinned, wearing a black hoodie and a black North Face backpack.
