New Bedford Police

New Bedford Police are investigating an early Friday morning stabbing in the South End. According to Detective Capt. Steve Vicente,  an unidentfied 49 year old Raynham man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his body arrived at St. Luke’s hospital in a private car and was immediately taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of his non life threatening injuries. Police learned the incident took place around 4:45 Friday morning in the area of County and Grinnell streets. Vicente adds the case is in its infancy and detectvies are activley investigating the cirumstances around the stabbing. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Tyrone Jones at 508-991-6300 ext 134.
