New Bedford Shots Fired

New Bedford's Shotspotter activation detected 4 gunshots in the West End Wednesday night in the area of Cottage and Grove Streets. Police received several 911 calls reporting shots being fired and when they responded, police found 4 spent, 40 caliber shell casings near the curb. There were no known victims of the gunshots and no property damage was reported. Detective Capt. Steve Vicente says neighbors told police they heard the shots but didn't see any activity outside.
