New Bedford Rotary Raise Spirits and Money

It was my personal pleasure to have been asked to serve as the "auctioneer" during the annual RotaFest 2013 Food & Wine Festival, Thursday evening at the Seaport Inn & Marina.

Sixteen of the area's first-class restaurants and ten tasting tables of wine, spirits, beer and ale filled the jammed banquet room, as Chris Richard's Trio set the mood! To all of the organizers, workers, vendors and volunteers, a special thank you for defining what community is really about!

And to the hundreds of participants who shared their time and treasure to make the event a success, a heartfelt radio hug! All the proceeds benefit local charities and scholarships! See you next year!
