NOAA has released its annual report on Fish-Landings In The U-S, and the Port of New Bedford is again the top fishing port dollar-wise in the nation. It's the 14th year in a row that New Bedford has been number one.

Landings in New Bedford generated $379 million, with most of the money coming from the sale of scallops.

Chief Scientist Dr. Richard Merrick says Dutch-Harbor Alaska landed the most fish last year, 753-million pounds.....

Cod landings continue to decrease in Atlantic fishing ports because of federal regulations and perhaps ocean conditions.

Five million pounds of Atlantic cod were landed in 2013, compared to 10 million pounds in 2012.
